Domains and Sites for Sale

We announced a couple of days ago that part of the plan to help Suzie get to Vancouver in June was to sell some web domains.
In the process we found that a couple of actual sites we had set up had, without any care or tendering, much less blogging, on our part, grown each a Google Page Rank of 2. Nothing to get too excited about, but a bit of a kick start for anyone interested in those particular domains.
Our motto for this sale truly is No Reasonable Offer Refused. In fact we have already sold a couple of sites, so quickly we wondered whether we had set the prices too low. Never mind.
Nearly all of the names below were chosen after a fair bit of deliberation and some with the benefit of research into popular niches. The exception is the one we misspelled - which should not be too hard to spot: we suspect we might be stuck with that one, but who knows?

This is a good name for tapping into the network marketing crowd: a lot of them who are successful (or not?) in offline sponsoring are clueless about online sponsoring but curious about how to do it and the savvier ones want to learn fast.

Suzie’s Big Hairy Audacious Goal Generates Good Deals
As far as I can work out, the term scrawled on a million whiteboards by corporate trainers, Big Hairy Audacious Goals (BHAGs), was coined - or at least first publicized - by Jim Collins and Jerry I. Porras in their now modern business classic, Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies.
Some readers will already know that my partner Suzie Cheel, who recently started contributing to this blog, launched the other week her own BHAG, to be in Vancouver, BC, Canada a few short weeks from now, to participate in the Michael J. Losier Law of Attraction Facilitator certification program.
The external reason it’s a BHAG is that Suzie has set herself a goal of putting together the $8,000 she needed to make that happen - $8,000 she did not have tucked away in a bottom drawer or an old sock, as she says in the interview I did with her last week - see the audio link below.
The coach in me says the more fundamental reason it’s a BHAG is an internal reason. The old inner game we all have to play if we decide to get serious about leaving the pack and chasing a vision. We need to deal with our emotions, our fears, the little voice on our shoulder that says “Are you serious?” “Who do you think you are?” etc, etc.
Not that it’s just inner game stuff. Suzie is taking action to turn her goal into a result.
As you can hear from the interview, she has a practical plan to raise the spondulicks. That includes putting up for sale just about the whole collection of hand-painted silk scarves and art quilts she has been hanging onto from her Suzie Cheel HandPainted Originals label. These are one-offs: we worked out long ago that Suzie’s creative process was such that even she could not reproduce an exact replica of any one of her works. Pictures and purchase details will be appearing progressively from tomorrow, on the new blog site: Suzie Cheel - Art & Beyond.
We’ve also decide to send to good homes for a fair price a bunch of domain names we own, including such names as thehomebusinessguy.com. We will be publishing that list here, today or tomorrow.

The domain name <thehomebusinessguydotcom> is for sale.
“The Home Business Guy” was a name and a brand I toyed with about four years ago, around when I set up my original Thinking Home Business site. I bought the domain thehomebusinessguydotcom then.
But because of all the other things I was learning and doing I just never got around to making serious use of the brand “The Home Business Guy”. My recollection is that for a few years I just had the domain pointed to my Thinking Home Business site.And now I have even more on my plate, so much that I simply don’t need another project.
I think the name is a great potential brand for someone who works from home, is passionate about the concept and is already, or would like to position themselves as, an expert on establishing and building a business from home.
When I first registered the name, there was still a bit of a superior attitude about working from home. Now, with the technology evolving so rapidly and with more and more business and professional people choosing the work from home option, it is becoming a fast-growing, unstoppable phenomenon.
And I know, from the emails I get from office furniture, insurance broking and other firms wanting to advertise, that there are companies that want to get themselves in front of the home business brigade. What better way to do that than through a blog written by a home business owner for home business owners?
Also, there is so much information available now about working from home that there is surely room for someone who wants to make a mark as the “go-to guy”, a guide through the labyrinth - in other words, The Home Business Guy.
