Des is passionate about helping business owners and executives incorporate social media into their business strategies, in a cost-effective and productive way.

I set up my first business from home, a communications consultancy, twenty one years ago. I love the life and the freedom it gives me, even with all the challenges that come with not having someone else taking care of your paycheck (and these days we know, better than we did 20 years ago, how precarious that can be).

As a coach, my focus is on helping business owners who are already successful and who want to achieve more, while still having a balanced life.

As a social media strategist, I help business owners and executives navigate the maze of social media and develop social media roadmaps to match their business strategies. I do that mainly through online and offline seminars, together with group or individual coaching.

I’m dedicated to helping business owners become social media savvy, not roadkill on the information superhighway.

I am also a writer, public speaker and group facilitator.

Web 2.0 and social media technology empower me to coach business owners by phone and online, across Australia and internationally, from my home five minutes from the beach, at the southern end of Australia’s beautiful Gold Coast!
