My friend Tony Bristow has a home based business success story. He doesn’t work from home now, but when I first met him a couple of years ago he was running his local computer service business, Computer Solutions Sales & Service, from his home.
He now has an office in a local commercial centre and has twelve franchisees around Australia and one in New Zealand.
Must be doing something right .
The franchisees are all gathering here in Tweed Heads in the next couple of days and I’ve been invited to do a short workshop with them on blogging and how that and other Web 2.0 technologies can help them grow their businesses.
I’m looking forward to the session. I believe an informative, well-maintained blog can be really helpful for local computer sales and service businesses. It’s surely an area of business where trust is important – I certainly don’t want just anybody fiddling with my computers – and blogs are an ideal means of developing trust between service providers, such as Computer Solutions, and customers.
