In about three weeks from now I will be attending a conference simultaneously, as it were, in two of my favourite cities, Sydney and San Francisco, courtesy of the Future of Media Summit 2006, billed as “a unique conference connecting thought leaders at simultaneous events …video, audio, interactive cross-continental discussions, and live audience blogging will create an entirely new experience for participants”.
The impressive lineup of speakers includes Chris Anderson, Editor-in-Chief of Wired Magazine and author of The Long Tail, Dave Sifry, Founder and CEO of Technorati, and Mark Jones, IT Editor of the influential Australian Financial Review and established blogger.
As part of the leadup to the event there is a Future of Media Podcast Series, with two podcasts already published, and an amazing, graphically represented, Future of Media Strategic Framework created by Summit organizer Ross Dawson, Chairman of the Future Exploration Network.
Ross is keen to see discussion on the Framework – as he says in an email to me “it’s Creative Commons, so meant to be discussed and built on”.
