In a recent article here I talked about the rapid growth in numbers of blogs worldwide. In a comment on that article, Phil Wolff, publisher of the Blog Count site, suggested there were some 50 million active blogs, 10 million of them in Korea alone.
Today I noticed an article by Kathleen Gilroy, CEO of the Otter Group, indicating a figure of 650,000 blogs in China – and growing.
How many of those are business focused is not indicated.
Why so few blogs in China, compared to Phil’s estimate of numbers in Korea? Well, there are some special challenges for bloggers in China, as Kathleen’s article outlines, which help to explain the smaller number.
