Found a very thoughtful, hype-free, cynicism-free post by business and technology Ensight blogger Jeremy Wright, which he wrote for InformiIT, on the subject: ‘Blogging: Can It Be Useful for Your Business?’
He writes interestingly about blogging as ‘awareness publishing’ and makes some useful distinctions between what individuals look for from their blogging and what businesses look for.
The article also has a suggested strategy for people who want to find out a bit more about what blogging is about, before they commit themselves or their company to blogging.
I liked his conclusion:
‘At the end of the day, blogging is still just a tool. What you get out of it will depend more on the depth of strategic thought and the effort you put into it than any other factor.’
But there’s more to the article than that. Worth a read.
