A Great Tip for Getting Inspired
I don’t know about others, but as a small business owner and solopreneur, I do find it a bit of a drag sometimes to be re-defining my brand, my vision and my mission - or should that be the other way around? So I like to pick up ideas on how to do this in an enjoyable way, a way that flows.
Ann Zuccardy has a great tip for dealing with this stuff by getting inspired, at her excellent Vermont Shortbread Company blog. She recommends grabbing a piece of paper and making a list of people who inspire you, then identifying the qualities you most admire in them. As Ann says, the chances are that those are the qualities you most want to emulate in your own life and business.
I really enjoyed finding my way to Ann’s blog, via the Ryze Blogging for Business forum. I talk with a lot of small business owners and solopreneurs about how they can use blogs to build their business and market reach. It’s good to have examples, but my impression has been that a lot of business blogging sites currently are by other coaches, pro bloggers, or advertising/marketing people. Now with Ann’s blog there is another example I can point to of someone with a different product who is using blogging to help her marketing.

Yes I agree with you.
I have found many inspirational pieces by doing a simple search on the internet and then those in turn inspire me to write about something. Give it a try
