As I'm going to be conservative in selecting from available sites, I don't see that duplicate content will be a problem. Your site doesn't have to have "ranking" to qualify but I will be looking for things like original content, transparency about who owns the site and who is providing the content, a privacy policy and so on. In other words, quality sites. And frankly it will be easier for me to only include sites I am personally sure about than to have to take sites off the list later. It's not going to be for everyone.
