That’s a really important point you make and I confess it was not “front of mind” for me, that companies regularly outsource not just in the “not so central” functions but in, as you say, “areas previously considered critical core business functions”. That raises a whole other set of issues, especially in terms of customer service, or more broadly and from the obverse perspective, customer experience.
