Very nicely written, Des, and I have to admit that I'm having this same problem lately. With one audience, it's perfectly clear what I do. Go outside that audience, and I just can't communicate well at all. It's because I do so many things, and unfortunately those things don't mesh. So, I've been confused when it comes to my 30 second personal commercial; I need 2 minutes at least, and even then, I'm not sure I'd get it right.

How to get there; that's always an interesting question. Good luck on your search.
