Sometimes there are no pelicans at Pelican Point. Sometimes it’s a pelican picnic.

i find pelicans majestic… and to see a lot of them in one place, lined up to show their beauty is such a feast for the eyes… and with the sky at dusk, the coconut trees and the calm water, the view is wonderful :)

When I was a kid, the environmentalists who monitor such things declared the pelican extinct. I remember a TV documentary entitled “A Wonderful Bird Was the Pelican”. It was narrated by Eddie Albert, who starred in “Green Acres”. I thank God that this species has recovered so well.

I did not grow up with these birds but they are quite a number here in Holland. Beautiful photography….
