@Joyce: you won't be sorry - I'm sure you'll find as I do that when you want some fresh info and/or a lift in spirits, sparkplugging will be a top recharge location for you (I *will* get used to that name :) )
@Wendy: and you rock!
@Sharon McMillan: so well put! And in a sense we are re-creating what our foremothers and forefathers had before the Industrial Revolution which in historical terms is only a blip on the line - a more natural way of living imho.

I aboslutely agree that the Wendy's move is electrifying and so current. The concept of working from home (or close to home) has moved away from being a nice to happen concept for some people (moms, dads, and assortment of independent workers/freelancers etc.).

It really is a concept that our world and enviornment demands that we think and act more seriously upon than we have to date.

Pollution generated by long car commutes, and the changing global market is going to make where we work less important than how we work. That's the driving reason why I have been a new urbanism advocate for almost 10 years. That's the entire focus of my site from the perspective of a...mom :-)

Thanks for the info, I'd never found Wendy before. (Or if I had, because of the name I would have figured it was for Moms and Mom issues - not something I can relate to.) Glad for the headsup.
