Des it is great to see a male get behind women’s day rather than the regular archaic comments similar to, “Why do women need a day of their own.” Thank you for recognizing and encouraging safety for the future. I GREATLY appreciate your efforts.
If men are part of the problem then they are also part of the solution. There are some wonderful and non violent men around. I am proud to know some.

There’s still a long way to go. In the public service I was once told that those higher up were bothered that I had “too many women” in my department. Why was that a problem? I asked but of course got no answer. That kind of backroom scheming got my goat – and they eventually got me, but that’s a story for another day.

Yes, we men are as you say part of the solution as well as part of the problem.
