Standing on the Great Wall

by Des Walsh on October 20, 2007

I came to Beijing this week to talk about blogging at ad:tech Beijing. That in itself was a totally fascinating experience – being at the conference, that is, not necessarily my talking about blogging :) . But with so much to see – and getting internet access as continually as I’m used to being a challenge – I’ve actually done little blogging. Hope to catch up on that next week in Shanghai, but I can’t promise I won’t be more of a tourist than a blogger!

On the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, northeast of Beijing, on a very windy but thankfully sunny day.

Des, you’re a dedicated follower of fashion. You timed your visit to the Great Wall in the same week as Karl Lagerfeld’s extraordinary Fendi Great Wall of China fashion show. And like Karl, you knew blue was the colour flavour of the week. Clever you!

Make a point of wearing that tourist hat and not only the blogger hat, Des.

Blogging has created these wonderful adventures for you. Enjoy every minute of them! :-)

Noric: thanks – timing is everything!

Laurie: you are absolutely right – blogging has created some great adventures for me; I’ll post a bit more about them
