Martin
I agree about the Really Living. When I took the plunge, gave up the that regular paycheck as you say, I don't know that it was consciously an act of courage, but it was about really living, so I guess there was courage in it. What I see now is how important it is to develop courageousness, i.e. the practice and state of "being in courage", not just hoping to respond with courage when a challenge comes along. Courageousness is a higher order deal.

I agree that the fridge can be a real temptation when you work at home. In fact, I hear it whispering to me right now and I am trying to drown out its siren call .....

Seriously, though, it is a risky thing to chuck a paycheck. And in the early days that is pretty scary. But later on when you start to get money coming in "while you sleep," as a result of the groundwork you've laid earlier, the feeling is incredibly motivating.

Inspiration from a fridge magnet??? :-)

Courage in this regards is going into the unknown - of not having a regular paycheck, taking your future into your own hands and having the courage to see it through to the end and essentially making something from nothing.

For me, it's also about Really Living.
