<description>Agreed - serendipity is a good thing. Stumbledupon is neat and I appreciate your introducing me to it, Des. But I am awash in requests to join more social networking sites. Every time that happens I have to think, oh well, another profile to fill out, and another opportunity to interact more with other people &quot;like me.&quot; Truth is, I&#039;m beginning to wonder if &quot;interacting with more people like me&quot; -- people who look at similar sites, people who rate things similarly, people who know the same people I do -- is necessarily a good/better thing.

<description>Really? Paying to get Stumbled Upon?

That is just crazy. Don&#039;t those people have any friends?

Any idea how much they are paying? Anything more than $0.05 USD per view is too much because you can pay SU that much and get shown on the site.

A relatively small group of friends (3-5) who are interested in similar topics can easily double or triple the amount of traffic to a site and the most important part of it is that the traffic is people who are actually interested in the topic. They opt in to the topics they want to see.
