My friend Tony Bristow has a home based business success story. He doesn’t work from home now, but when I first met him a couple of years ago he was running his local computer service business, Computer Solutions Sales & Service, from his home.
He now has an office in a local commercial centre and has twelve franchisees around Australia and one in New Zealand.
Must be doing something right

The franchisees are all gathering here in Tweed Heads in the next couple of days and I’ve been invited to do a short workshop with them on blogging and how that and other Web 2.0 technologies can help them grow their businesses.
I’m looking forward to the session. I believe an informative, well-maintained blog can be really helpful for local computer sales and service businesses. It’s surely an area of business where trust is important - I certainly don’t want just anybody fiddling with my computers - and blogs are an ideal means of developing trust between service providers, such as Computer Solutions, and customers.
