Developing a Corporate Blog - Jeremiah Shares the Pain

By Des Walsh | Dec 9, 2005

New member of our LinkedIn Bloggers group on yahoogroups, Jeremiah Owyang, is a corporate blogger who is refreshingly humble about the learning experience of developing a successful corporate blog and at the same time has produced what looks to me like an excellent, sixty-six point “best” practice checklist (quotation marks are his - I said he was humble).

See Learn from my Pain: Business Blogging “Best” Practices

He invites comments and additions to his list.

Thanks Des, I’m enjoying being a part of the new community you’ve setup.

Just for the record, I’m not a “corporate blogger” as I don’t blog on behalf of my employer.

I do however, assist with guiding the program, in addition, to being a blogger on my own free time. Many companies are seeing the benefits of this new tool with both external and internal audiences.

I’m going to be sharing my ‘pains’ at a variety of communication and marketing conferences soon, and hopefully will be able to connect with other birds-of-a-feather.

The ‘66 point’ list will likely grow, then get refined, hopefully to a more digestible format.

    more to come soon
