Never having been in the US at Thanksgiving but having picked up a bit of the significance from my reading and from association with Americans, I understand this is an important time.
And looking through my address book today I realise I have quite a few American friends living far from their native land and who today will probably not be surrounded by other Americans celebrating the holiday and its deep significance.
So here is a heartfelt Aussie wish for a Happy Thanksgiving, for my American family, friends and colleagues, and especially to regular and irregular readers of this blog, whether in the USA today or abroad.
