It was a pleasure and an honour to be invited to join some distinguished bloggers as a contributor to Rick E. Bruner’s Business Blog Consulting blog. What I’ve found is that the thought of posting something on someone else’s blog sets up a different mental process from that involved in posting to your own site. I suppose it’s a bit like visiting someone else at home and behaving a bit differently from the way you might choose to behave in your own home.
Fact is, I’ve found it a bit of a challenge to come up with something to say which was appropriate to the theme of the site and hadn’t already been done by one or other of the several very smart other contributors. Then today, in the course of looking for blogs from other cultures, for my contribution to Blog Day 2005, I picked up on the Deutsche Welle International Best of the Blogs (BOBS) awards 2005. So I had a topic at last for Business Blog Consulting: I wrote about these awards and the fact that business blogging does not get a specific mention in the categories.

Des - Congrats! You deserve all congratulations on this. For all visitors reading this, Des is one of the most knowledgable people in the world on how people interact with other - really interact that is. This guy doesn’t just imagine these things. He knows how relationships really work between human beings. Definitely one of the guv’nors in the game!
