There is an update from MarketingSherpa on how the US FTC is planning to interpret the CAN-SP@M act

From my reading, this looks like being quite a challenge to anyone who has:
* a big mailing list, and/or
* an extensive and varied product list, and/or
* an extensive affiliate network
One of the aspects that should bother some people is that, unlike Aus where the punishment comes from an overworked government agency, it appears that in the US another party, say an ISP, can sue someone who has apparently broken the law.
